THE SPRING FOREST GARDEN MAY 7,2025

May 7, 2025 / joseph elon lillie / 2 Comments

Spring has sprung a little early here at the Vicarage. It feels like we are about a week ahead.

Melanie and her girls came over to help us in the garden today.

Brenda and I made some more progress on the chicken coop.

R.I.P. MERCEDES

Yesterday we lost our oldest dog, Mercedes. She was nearing her 17th birthday. This picture is one I took last fall as she took her daily stroll through the forest garden. I think it is a perfect send off picture.

WHAT WE GOT DONE

APRIL 30, 2025 AT THE VICARAGE FOREST GARDEN

April 30, 2025 / joseph elon lillie / Leave a comment
Things are really beginning to pop here at the vicarage. We have lots of projects to finish and lots of gardens to clean up.
The chickens are getting excited for their new home
The daffodils are on full display, and the mug wart is just beginning to make an appearance.

What’s happening in your garden?

WINTER RETURNS TO THE VICARAGE

April 14, 2025April 14, 2025 / joseph elon lillie / 4 Comments

It is good we got so many projects done on Wednesday and Thursday last week, because winter made a return this weekend.

We did have some damage from the heavy wet snow. Today starts the cleanup.
