The Vicarage is a vital space right now.
herbs, flowers, trees and critters are waking up from their long winter’s nap with the promise of new life.
The elders and the youngsters of the household are discovering joy in the newness of life.
Our newest batch of chicks, black austrolorps, are awaiting the day they can burst out of their brooder box and embrace the warm earth.
And they are not the only ones. We have spent the winter preparing for the birth of the Vicarage’s newest human, my grandson. My youngest daughter’s youngest son will be born in June! I can hardly believe we are suddenly so close to the auspicious day!

This weekend is the baby shower. My ex wife was supposed to come up but her flight was with Spirit and so she was going to drive up but now her close friend has gone into ICU. My daughter is disappointed and it is sad that we will not all be together this weekend. I will do my best to stand in at this glorious celebration.

It was a wonderful party. And surprise my ex actually made it up with my father-in-law on a last minute flight. It was good to have her here for Mother’s Day.
