While I was at Bible study this morning, my daughter-in-law broke out the Christmas tree. I was just thinking this morning that it was almost time to decorate the Vicarage.

My goodness. Isn’t that a bit early. I come from a Polish background and I’m Poland the Christmas tree goes up at the end of advent. I E 24 December and then stays up until the epiphany or 6th January. When my husband came to England he found it difficult at first to find everyone putting up decorations at the beginning of December. But he has come to terms with it now because it all looks very jolly. But October-no. November still no, I’m afraid. But each place has its own customs. I’m all got brightness and holiness and anticipation!

My daughter-in-law comes from The Philippines and there they decorate in the -Ber months. So the tree goes up in September. We are a little late for her.
